Muscles use ATP (adenosine triphosphate) as an energy source. ATP is created in two ways. One is by aerobic metabolism (using oxygen) carried in the bloodstream. This is a sure and steady way to create basically unlimited sources of energy but, it has a limit on how fast it can work. The cardiovascular system is also limited in its ability to quickly deliver blood and therefore oxygen to the working muscles. Because of this, during intense exercise, ATP is also provided by anaerobic metabolism which doesn’t require an ongoing supply of oxygen. Anaerobic pathways can provide ATP immediately, but they also have limited stores that need to be refilled after they are used up. When the stores use up the muscles feel tired. So how was that for a detailed answer? Are you happy now? Not only did you make me conform but now you make it my homework. By the way im sure I don’t need to tell u but this is Tanisha. :p

This is a sure and steady way to create virtually unlimited sources of energy; however, it has a limit on how fast it can work.
